Hi, my name is Robert and I come from the beautiful far north of Germany and have been living in the Cologne/Bonn region for a few years now. I'm a primary school teacher full-time and I chat a lot not only in school but also during the shoots. I was already enthusiastic about photography when I was at middle school. To this day, my role model is Henri-Cartier Bresson. Like many others, I had a couple of compact and digital cameras after I graduated from high school that couldn't really do anything and therefore mostly just lay around somewhere. Since 2018 I have been taking photos more intensively and have bought a single-lens reflex camera. To this day, I continue to learn more about photography and keep improving my skills.
I came to ballet and dance photography through my girlfriend, who dances herself and is a great help, inspiration and above all a wonderful photo motif for me. Dance photography inspires me above all because with it you can capture physical abilities as well as emotions in a special and sometimes intimate way that hardly any other direction of photography makes possible for me. Passion, strength, authenticity are important things that I try to capture in a picture together with the models. This combined with the endless joy I get from photographing with other people forms the basis of my photos.
